Today we got to use iPads during math centers!! After using the iPads daily last year, I was ready to get the kiddos some time to explore with them! I truly believe in the benefit of educational technology and the role it plays in preparing our digital learners! Children have a natural curiosity to explore the world around them and want to create ways to share their unique findings!
We are scheduled to receive our class set of iPads (Ms. Gardner and I wrote a grant at the end of last school year for 22 iPad minis for each of our classes. The grant was awarded! Yay! So beyond thankful! The iPads are in and now we are waiting for the cart for synching and charging purposes.) in a few weeks, so until then I will check out the school's shared iPad cart a few times per week. The children had a great time using them today. We spent some time taking about the iPad rules, uses, and expectations and then we had time to explore the Color by Shape app!
I can't wait to have our iPads in our classroom for the children to use each day!! We hope to amaze you with our creations!
We also had a visit from Mrs. Bridges!! She helped us with our sentence puzzles!! We mixed them up, pieced them together, and took turns reading the sentences! Mrs. Bridges is such an enthusiastic teacher that loves to share her love of reading! So glad she visited us today!
