HELLO FAMILIES! :)

We had a great week! Check out our newsletter!

We still need a few parent volunteers to help us with our pumpkin carving activity.
Date: Thursday, October 30th
Time: 9:30-11:00 AM
Where: Our Classroom
Please let me know if you can help us out! I usually ask my parent volunteers to bring a pumpkin and carving tools to school on the day of the activity. Thanks so much for all your help!

We had a great time at the pumpkin patch! I will post pictures soon and I'm working on a video to put on our YouTube channel!

Thanks to the parents that were able to attend the field trip with us today! We enjoyed visiting with you and really appreciate all your help!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Genius Hour

Today we made the first attempt at an activity called genius hour!! Genius hour is a time for students of all levels to explore their own passions. I tweaked the concept slightly and allowed them to choose an app (creation or skills based) on the iPad or pick from a variety of leveled table work. To my amazement not everyone picked the iPads! My goal is to have several options and for them to have some type of driving question that they want to answer before they begin exploring! It will definitely be a work in progress but I think it will be worth it!!
