May 22, 2015 News

Hello Families!! WOW! What a busy week we've had at school. Please take a look at our newsletter for the week. Our folders are not a full as they normally are, but I promise we've been hard at work this week with circus practice! Thank you to everyone that came to watch the performance! The children did a fabulous job! I am so proud of each of them! Also, thank you to everyone that was able to make it to the first annual Family Picnic! I know it was a little crazy and the rain changed our original plans, but the children had a great time and I enjoyed visiting with each of you!

A few notes:

  • Our field trip to the Northeast TX Children's Museum is on Tuesday, May 26th from 12:00-2:00. Your child will not need a sack lunch on this day. We will eat lunch at school before we leave. Also, this field trip is paid for by the district so their is no cost for your child to attend.
  • My last day with the children will be on Wednesday, May 27th. Please make sure to send your child's $3.00 for pizza by that day so that I can get everything turned in and ordered before I leave school.
  • Kindergarten Park/Picnic Day is on Friday, May 29th. This will be a fun day for the kiddos! As long as weather allows, we will spend the majority of the day at the city park! Please send a sack lunch to school with your child along with 2 drinks. Please make sure all lunch items are disposable. We will not be able to keep up with lunch boxes. The substitute will send a sack home for you to put their food and drinks in. Please label your child's drinks with their name.

News from Mrs. Pullen

I sent this information home today and wanted to post it on the blog too!! Check out this exciting news!!

Hello Families! I have some big news about the arrival of my baby girl! As you know, my goal was to be at school up until my due date of May 31st.  There have been a few changes and my doctor feels it is best for me to have the baby on May 28th (unless sweet Charlotte decides to come before then).  This will put me missing the last 7 days of school. Although I do not want to miss that time with my students, I am so excited about finally meeting my baby girl! I plan on coming back to school on the last day (June 5th) to be here with the kids and spend that time with them. If that changes I will do my best to let you know. I know they will be in good and hands while I am gone and will enjoy the last 7 days of school with all the fun activities that are planned. I am going to go ahead and ask you to start sending their money for our pizza lunch which will be held on the last day of school. I am going to collect the money and order the pizza before my last day. Please send their $3.00 for pizza by Tuesday, May 26th. This will help me get everything put into place so that the substitute doesn’t have to worry about it. My plan is to organize and get as much as I can complete for the substitute in the next two weeks. I want it to be a smooth transition for the children. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns for me to address. Thanks so much!! J

Pictures from the Week

We've had a very busy week at school. We are little behind on our countdown but hopefully we can catch up next week if the weather allows! Take a look at all the pictures I took of the kiddos this week! We are having a great time learning!

Hello Families!! I can't believe May is halfway over! Every week seems to go by quicker than the one before. We started circus practice this week! Next week we will continue practicing for the big day! We hope to see you at the Kindergarten Circus (also known as the "Greatest Show on Earth") on Thursday, May 21st at 9:00 AM in the CES Cafeteria. Also, please know that the kindergarten family picnic will follow soon after the Circus ends... rain or shine!

Here are a few reminders:
Please send $3.00 to school for your child's pizza lunch for the last day of school by Tuesday, May 26th. I'm asking for it a little early since my last day of school will be on May 27th. I want to be sure to have the money collected and pizza ordered before I go on maternity leave.

Also, if you have not done so already, please send back the Circus DVD order form by Wednesday, May 20th. We will begin making the DVD's after Circus and should have them ready to send home the following week. We need to make sure we get all orders in on time so that we know how many DVD's to make.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

Day 24: iPads & Day 23: Art Day

Today our balloon pop for day 23 was Art Day!! We did three different art centers! One focused on writing, one insects, and the other was something special that we can't share with you all just yet! The children had a great time being creative while making their art projects!!

Good Afternoon Families!!!

Take a look at our newsletter for the week. We have several important dates coming up so be sure to mark your calendars!

Next week is teacher appreciation week. I want to take a moment and let you know how appreciative I am of all my families! Thanks for all your support, understanding, and help throughout this school year! It could not have been nearly as successful without each of your time and dedication! Thank you for being my partner in your child's education!! :)

If you have not done so already, please return the parent conference form I sent home with your child. I am trying to meet with all my families a little earlier than normal just in case the baby decides to make an early debut! I have already met with several families and have enjoyed talking with everyone! Also, don't forget to get those dates on your calendar and as always let me know if you have any questions.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and enjoys the beautiful weather!!
